Here at TLC Dog Training we treat every dog that we work with as if they were our own. Unlike traditional board and train programs, the dogs come to live at home with the trainers instead of at a kennel or boarding facility. Any type of training can be stressful for a dog, and being in the comfort of the trainer’s home helps to alleviate some of that stress. It is also makes it possible to work on in-home problems, such as counter surfing and dashing through the front door. The transition from training back to home is also much smoother.
We pride ourselves on preparing our dogs for the real world. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to take your loyal companion everywhere with you without worrying about them dragging you down the aisle at the pet store, or jumping on the table when out for a bite to eat? The only way for a dog to learn to behave in public is to train in public! While in training with us, your pup will accompany our trainers on field trips. They can often be seen at places like malls, parks, and beaches, working on real world distractions and situations with your dog.
Get your new pup a solid foundation in obedience, while helping him learn how to navigate the world. Together we can get him started off on the right paw!
From basic obedience and manners to working through behavior problems, together we can create a training plan that suits your pup the best!
One on one training in your home or out in a public location. During our private lessons, we teach you and you teach your dog!
We also offer boarding!
Once your dog has completed a training program with us, they can come back and stay for boarding. If you are going out of town and need someone to watch your pup, or they just need a little refresher and reinforcement training, they can come back and stay with us! Just like when they came for training, they will get supervised playtime, training sessions in the house, and go on field trips.
